Beauty review: Rimmel London Colour Rush Lip Balm/Crayons.

Beauty review: Rimmel London Colour Rush Lip Balm/Crayons.

Shade: Give Me A Cuddle.

Shade: Not An Illusion.

Shade: Drive Me Nude.

My next beauty review had to be about these lip crayons. Rimmel have brought out these wonderful lip balm crayons recently, in a variety of many flattering colours for all skin tones. I think out of the colours to choose from, I got the three most nude shades. Nude lip colours will always be my favourite and first choice. I absolutely love lip crayons. I find them so easy to apply, it is a blessing. Sometimes I feel like I have to really concentrate when applying traditional shape lipstick to stay in the shape of my lips or to not put too much on. Whereas with lip crayons, it is just so much easier with less effort to apply as much as you like, and I find the colours look a lot more subtle this way.

I got the shades: Give Me A Cuddle, Not An Illusion and Drive Me Nude.
Out of these these shades, I would definitely say that Drive Me Nude is my favourite shade. I haven't seen a lip colour quite like it before. The photograph I have taken does not do it justice. It is like a typical nude colour but more brown. I would say it is similar to the colour Taupe with a hint of pink/purple. I have been wearing this colour nearly everyday since I bought it a couple of weeks ago, I think it is so lovely. Give Me A Cuddle is a bright, light pink colour. They also have a bright, hot pink shade (Boom Chic A Boom) but I felt this would be too much for me.. I am too used to my nude shades! Give Me A Cuddle is still bright and noticeable, but not too much. I would say that Not An Illusion is probably the most common colour in the range. As in, you could buy this shade in probably all the lip crayon ranges by all brands. It is a very pretty colour for the lips, I think that it is a colour which could work for all occasions.

In conclusion, I would go as far as to say that I LOVE these lip crayons by Rimmel! I have tried many lip crayons, and so far I have found that this Colour Rush range is by far the best. I love that the colour of the sticks are exactly the same colour when you apply them on your lips. And I love that the colour is excellent just like a lipstick and balmy/glossy at the same, yet you can also still make them look quite natural and not over the top. As they are balm lip crayons, they leave your lips feeling very smooth and even help their condition. I will definitely be purchasing more from this range. I think I will have to be brave and come out of my love for nude shades a bit so that I can try the bright reds and purples.

TAG: Liebster Award.

TAG: Liebster Award.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the Liebster awards!
I was nominated by my beautiful friend Hannah. We started doing our blogs at roughly the same time as each other. We both absolutely loved reading other peoples blogs and reviews and were becoming little fangirls! So we thought why don't we create our own? We both absolutely love writing our blogs and hers is a great one to read! Thank you for nominating me to do this tag.. I hope I do it correctly? hehe.

THE RULES:

-  Thank the person who nominated you.

-  State 11 facts about yourself.

-  Answer the questions that they have set out for you.

-  Nominate other bloggers and write out a list of your own questions for them.

11 FACTS ABOUT ME:

1.  Elephants are my favourite animals in the world and my bedroom is full of them!
2.  I have lived in the same place and the same house all of my life.
3.  I have wanted a tattoo for years now, but I always chicken out because of the pain.
4.  I would love to live 5 minutes away from a beach when I grow up.
5.  My hair colour has been nearly every colour you can think of (other than pink and green) and I am never happy with the colour of it.
6.  Beards are horrible to me, they hurt and I hate the look of them.
7.  My go to shop when I need a new outfit quickly for an occasion (like a night out) is always Topshop.
8.  I cannot stand seeing my own, or other peoples toe nails when they aren't painted with nail varnish. Gross!
9.  I have never been behind the wheel of a car, never had a lesson.
10.  I am currently planning to go to university and I am thinking of going into English studies.

QUESTIONS FROM HANNAH:

1.  Cats or dogs? Dogs all the way for me, there is nothing I would love more than to have a puppy!
2.  Favourite place you've visited? I would say probably Disneyland Paris, because I just adore Disney that much and everything is so cheerful there! Menorca is also beautiful though.
3.  Biggest fashion icon (dead/alive)? My main fashion icons would probably be Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and the gorgeous Olsen twins.
4.  Look back, what was your first post? What are your thoughts on it now? My first post wasn't all that long ago haha. It was just a TMI to introduce myself a bit really.
5.  Favourite Disney princess? Oh no.. well I have always liked the appearance of Belle and Snow White. But I like Rapunzal from Tangled and of course I like Anna from Frozen because they're so full of life and really friendly. I love Elsa but she is the Queen!
6.  You win the lottery, how do you spend it? I think the first thing I would do is sort out my parents somewhere nice to live, as they want to move desperately. Then I would buy the cutest puppy I could find and go to America. I would probably save most of the money for a massive house too.
7.  Any pets? Unfortunately not (waaaahhh). I would love a puppy or guinea piggys though.
8.  Any siblings? Nope!
9.  What is your favourite blog? I really like Gabby (from velvetgh0st)'s blog! And I love Lily Melrose's fashion blogs because I love her style!

11.  If you could be anyone else for 1 day, who would you choose and why? Honestly I never really wish that I was someone else because that just makes me feel depressed as it can never happen. But if I had to choose because I love what their lifestyle looks like and what they look like, I would probably love to be Ashley Tisdale for the day. She lives in a beautiful place, has an adorable dog and is stunning! She also seems like an interesting, outgoing person.

Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 minute treatment MIRACLE

Garnier Ultimate Blends 1 minute treatment MIRACLE

Unfortunately I am a lady who loves to style her hair with heat. I also love to experiment with my hair colour quite a bit. Therefore my hair is often in need of a bit of pampering and major repairing. Over the years of using the beloved straighteners and hair dyes, the ends of my hair have become split and the length of my hair gets quite damaged. I always use conditioner when I wash my hair anyway, but I like to treat my hair with something a bit more advanced than the just standard conditioner so that it stays in better condition.

I purchased the brown coconut oil and cocoa butter tube of the 1 minute treatment conditioner from Garnier after watching "Fleur De Force" on YouTube recommend it on one of her recent videos. All you have to do with this product is wash your hair with any shampoo (there are Garnier ultimate blends shampoos to match these), rinse this out, towel dry your hair and then use this treatment instead of the conditioner you would normally use. As it says on the tube, it only takes 1 minute to work its magic. I usually leave it on for a little bit longer just so that the product has more time on my hair. Then you just rinse this out of your hair.

I couldn't believe the actual difference it made to the condition in my hair after just one application! Sometimes you purchase a product because it claims to do so many things and actually you find it is just like any standard product and you are left feeling quite disappointed. This product actually did what is printed on the tube. It did make my hair feel, and look sleek. But what I was so happy about was the magic spell it cast on my hairs condition! My hair feels in much better condition since using this, it looks in a lot better condition and it has even seemed to make my nasty split ends nicer! The texture of the conditioner is thicker than standard conditioners, it is a bit more like a thick hair mask texture which I think is what makes it so great. As well as the fabulous performance this product has had on my hair, it even leaves my hair smelling delicious the day after I have washed it.

I cannot fault this product. I would say that it is my favourite conditioner treatment for my hair along with the Aussie conditioners. The only thing I could possibly moan about, is that I need more! I got about 7 applications out of one tube because I have long, thick hair so I just need more hehe! There are a range of different ultimate blends treatments for whatever your hair care needs. They are a great price as well. I got mine when they were marked down at half price in the drugstore Boots. Run and grab yours quickly!

Have you tried this yet? If so, were you as impressed as I am?

Mini Primark haul & OOTD 15.07.14

Mini Primark haul & OOTD 15.07.14

Primark has always been one of my favourite shops. Sometimes I find I go through phrases with the shop where I will see lots of different items that I love, and sometimes I don't really see anything that appeals to me. Having said that, there is not very often a time where I leave empty handed from shopping in there. Recently, I have found that they have so many items that I simply must have! From blouses, kiminos, shoes etc they have got a lot of either simple or statement pieces in that look a lot more expensive than the price tag. Of course that is mainly why I love Primark, I can find things to wear that I adore and I don't have to spend a fortune to own them.

The other day I picked up a few bits that I thought were either really different, or simple and could wear them with anything. This summer, kimonos are a big must have. Whether you are lucky enough to go on vacation or not, they are a great alternative to a jacket (because summer in England can still get a bit chilly) or just the statement to your outfit. I probably have a few too many of them now, but this did not stop me in purchasing this dusty blue coloured one from Primark. I thought the colour of it was gorgeous and pulled me in straight away. Even though it isn't one of the more bright and bold kimonos in the shops right now, I think it is just perfect for if I want to wear a more casual outfit to sling on and it make it look that bit more interesting. I think that the colour also is an ideal colour that I can wear with dresses and tops which have a lot of colours in them. At £15 it was the first item straight into my trusty Primark basket. The next thing I got was one of their many, beautiful blouses that they have brought out since spring. This one appealed to me because its base colour is black. Black will always be my favourite colour to wear.. Miss boring. I have already been asked by people where I got this from because I think it is quite usual with the pops of yellow and red. It is perfect for summer for any of you especially, that are in love with black still and don't want to look too bright. Speaking of my love of all things black, I could not believe it when I saw this hat in Primark! It was the last one in store and I grabbed it immediately. I have seen so many people wearing this style of hat, so I thought I would see if I could pull it off. It was amazing at £8, as I was going to get one from Topshop and they wanted £28. This is why Primark is fabulous. I made sure to pick up some elastic bands for my hair for £1 and then I got a pair of cream and gold detailed ballerina shoes. I get most of my shoes from Primark because I find that even though the price is always cheap, these were £6, they always seem to last me for a long time. The last thing I purchased was an over-sized acid green/grey tee for £4. I am a typical size 6, however I got this one in a size 12 as I wanted it to hang off one shoulder and look very relaxed.

I appreciate this isn't one of the best OOTDs but I am wearing my new, loved kimono so never mind. I just decided to wear it with a plain black cami top and my signature black leggings. Teamed with my grey Converses, my old Ted Baker bag and some necklaces.

OOTD: Kimono - Primark, Cami - New Look, Leggings - Primark, Bag - Ted Baker (old design), Shoes - Charcoal grey Converse.

A little bit of Accessorize sale love.

A little bit of Accessorize sale love.

The past few weeks have been great for us shopaholics! All most all of my favourite shops in my town have had sales on. But my absolute favourite place to visit in the sales, is always Accessorize / Monsoon.

Even though the Accessorize store where I live is pretty tiny, they still seem to have a really big selection of things in the sale! Going in their sale is never a disappointment to me. I always find something that I have been lusting over for a long time in the sale. And also, their sale items are actually a really good sale! Seems silly writing that but sometimes when you walk into a store which has a "sale" they haven't really brought the prices down very much, or they don't have a great selection. With Accessorize it is never like that.

I first noticed the beautiful pink, flowered statement necklace as you can see above. I have been looking for a really eye catching, statement necklace to wear this summer for a while now but I haven't seen one that I have completely fallen in love with. I thought this one was totally me and ideal to wear with lots of different things. As this necklace doesn't have lots of different colours in it, just a pretty pale pink and silver and greys it can blend in with a lot more colours but also stand out just perfectly for me. I picked this up for £13.30 as it should have been £19 but had 30% off. I think for a statement necklace, £19 isn't too bad in the first place as I have seen many other retailers charging anything between £20-£40. I then went onto the section of the sale where they bring down the items prices even more because they are, in some way, faulty. As you can see I got just one leopard print earring. I got this for 10p because there is only one instead of £2. I have an odd piercing so I always try and find these odd earring steals when Accessorize have a sale. I have gotten so many nice, odd earrings this way for steal prices! The last thing I bought was also in the faulty sale section. The earring set I got should have been £12, however because one of the earrings has lost its heart I got it for.. ready.. £3! The amazing thing is, is that it actually came with the heart that has broken off so I can just glue it back on anyway. I couldn't believe it!

If you haven't checked out the Accessorize / Monsoon sale before yet, you need to get on that! Also make sure you see their faulty sale section. As most of the time, as you can see from my post, there isn't hardly anything wrong with a lot of their "faulty" items.

They also have a sale on their website: click here to view!

Where are your favourite places to shop in the sale? Have you got any steal sale items recently?

Birmingham shopping haul.

Birmingham shopping haul.

The other day I actually had a quite spontaneous moment, which is rare for me. Things at home in my life were starting to all get on top of me a bit and overwhelm me. I was desperate for some time just to myself. I wanted to be alone for at least a day without having to think about friends, family, career related issues anything. Just myself, alone with my own thoughts, a bit of independence for the day. What better excuse did I need to go for a shopping day? So I decided to do some research on shopping centres in different cities which I had not been to before. The "Bullring" shopping centre in Birmingham appeared, and had many shops that I would love to browse through. Therefore I booked my train tickets for the next day, and off I went!

I love train journeys. I haven't met many people that agree with me on that, but I find them so relaxing. I love looking at all the countryside and buildings out the windows and reading my book. I thought that I would be really nervous and perhaps, quite frightened travelling all the way to Birmingham by myself. Having to change trains and have no one around who knew me. However, to my great surprise I was absolutely fine! I was amazed by how big the Bullring centre is. There are three floors of many great shops inside, but there are also hundreds of shops outside as well which is classed as part of the Bullring!

My first stop was my favourite, Topshop. Compared to the sale section in my Topshop back home, it was incredible. Even though I didn't find anything in the sale there this time that I fanced, I will be sure to go back there again when I know there will be a big Topshop sale. I did purchase some lovely green, flowered trousers. I thought they would be great for any occasion, whether it is going out at night, going for a meal or just for casual wear during the day. I could dress them for both the warmer and colder months and they can be worn with quite a few different colours. I also picked up an elephant top. This was one of those moments where you see something in a store, and instantly HAVE to have it. So that wasn't questioned. During the day I went into the Disney Store, which was wonderful as always. Sadly we do not have one of these stores where I live so I always get a bit too excited when I find one. Of course I had to buy an adorable Dumbo elephant to take back with me! When I went to explore what was outside, I discovered the massive Primark. I only got one top but I think it is totally me. The colour really seems to suit my skin-tone and hair colour and it is a top which, like the Topshop trousers, can be worn both dressed down and up. As always it was a classic, Primark bargain at £6.

I went to so many stores there, the store I spent most of my time in was Waterstones. At first I did not realize that all of the store was Waterstones, I thought the top stories of the store might have been accommodation. When I went inside I soon realized and then I spent most of my day in there. As you can see I only purchased one book, "Anna and the french kiss" by Stephanie Perkins for my train journey back home. However there were just so many books to look at and discover in there. Again, in my hometown the Waterstones is not very big so this one was something else to me. Birmingham is very busy, full of so many people. Being inside Waterstones was so peaceful and quiet, just what I wanted from this day.

It is safe to conclude that I spent quite a bit of money on my day in Birmingham, however it was a fantastic day. I did not think that I would be able to have so much fun on my own, but I really did. It is definitely a great place to visit, especially when the sales are on. I know where I'll be going when it is Christmas shopping time.. or when I want to have a book haul!
